Anna’s therapeutic approach is informed by the following evidence-based modalities and thoughtfully tailored to each individual:


Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT helps you stop fighting your thoughts and feelings, and start focusing on what really matters to you. Instead of trying to “fix” every uncomfortable emotion, you learn skills to handle them and still move forward. It’s about living a meaningful life in alignment with your values, even when things are hard.


Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS)

IFS acknowledges that we are made up of different “parts”, such as a critical part, a protective part, or a vulnerable part, and each developed to help us cope with difficulty. In therapy, we gently explore these parts with curiosity and compassion, rather than trying to get rid of them. As you learn to understand your parts, you can access your “core self”, which is naturally calm, wise, and capable of quietening the parts, and leading your inner system.


Attachment Theory

Attachment theory explores how early relationships with caregivers shape the way you connect with others now. It can help explain why closeness feels easy, hard or overwhelming. Understanding your attachment style provides valuable insight into difficulties within relationships and can serve as a platform for healing and change.


Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)

SFBT is based on the assumption that you already possess strengths and resources that can be mobilised toward change. It identifies what is working well for you now and how to build more of it. The emphasis is on small, achievable steps that move you toward your preferred future. It’s goal-focused and future-oriented.


Psychodynamic Interpersonal Therapy (PIT)

PIT looks at patterns in your relationships and how they may be linked to earlier experiences. By understanding these patterns, you can start to respond differently in the present. It’s reflective and focused on emotional insight.
