Individual psychotherapeutic support, tailored to you.

Services

Anna’s therapeutic approach is informed by the following evidence-based modalities and thoughtfully tailored to each individual:

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT helps you develop a different relationship with anxiety. Rather than getting caught in worry or trying to get rid of anxious thoughts and feelings, you'll learn practical skills to respond to them differently so anxiety no longer dictates your choices or consumes you. Together, we'll focus on helping you live the life you want, even when anxiety is present.

Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS)

Anxiety is often driven by different parts of us trying to keep us safe. You may have a part that constantly worries, another that strives for perfection, or one that avoids situations that feel overwhelming. Rather than fighting these parts, we'll get to know them with curiosity and compassion. As you begin to understand what they're trying to protect, you'll strengthen your calm, grounded core self, allowing anxiety to have less influence over your life.

Attachment Theory

Our earliest relationships shape how safe we feel with ourselves and others. When those relationships have been difficult or unpredictable, they can contribute to anxiety, people-pleasing, fear of rejection or difficulty trusting others. Understanding your attachment patterns can provide valuable insight into your anxiety and create opportunities for healing, healthier relationships and lasting change.

Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)

SFBT is based on the assumption that you already possess strengths and resources that can be mobilised toward change. Anxiety can make problems feel overwhelming. SFBT helps break change into small, achievable steps, focusing on your strengths, successes and what is already working so you can build confidence and create lasting change.

Psychodynamic Interpersonal Therapy (PIT)

PIT explores how past experiences, relationships and patterns developed over time may influence the way you experience anxiety today. Sometimes anxiety is connected to deeper fears, beliefs or ways of relating to yourself and others that have developed throughout your life. By exploring these patterns with curiosity and compassion, you can develop greater self-understanding, recognise what may be driving your anxiety and learn new ways of responding in the present.

“I had a very positive experience working with Anna, who is incredibly kind, supportive, and patient. She guided me through a very difficult time and helped me gain a new perspective that changed the trajectory of my life for the better. She made me feel comfortable opening up about sensitive topics that are often difficult to talk about, while also gently challenging my thoughts and beliefs in a constructive way. Through our sessions, I developed greater self-awareness, confidence, and practical strategies that I continue to use on a daily basis. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a professional and compassionate counsellor who has a genuine passion for helping others."
